Strategy for Playing the Queen-Jack
As a general rule, this hand is most certainly not
a raising hand before the flop. You should only limp
in and gamble the lowest amount of custom poker chips
possible. Faced with even just one raise of custom
poker chips, you should muck your cards and just watch
that poker hand! If you then go ahead and manage to
luckily hit the queen or the jack on the subsequent
flop, you have a pretty good poker hand and one that
is worth getting your customized poker chips involved
with. The pot is now probably worth a raise as you
start to attempt to dominate the poker hand.
All you should watch out for when gambling your custom
poker chips on this type of poker hand are the poker
players who have cunningly limped in with a jack and
a better kicker than you, or those who have limped
in with a very small pocket pair and have managed
to hit a third to complete their set (a card which
looks useless and harmless to you). These sorts of
poker players will rinse your custom poker chip stack
unless you are cautious and watchful.
Obviously if you hit the queen and the jack on the
flop, you must gamble strongly with your custom poker
chips as you are most likely have the best poker hand
at that stage. Why hold back your custom poker chips
and allow another poker player to get the privilege
of a free card? But if a flop displaying much straight
potential comes out, you must be careful as other
poker players love playing middle-aces and lower suited
connectors which can create large dents in your custom
poker chip stack if you are not prudent enough to
spot it!
Once again, the way you play the hand depends on
the style of poker players you are gambling with.
Will they raise with anything? If so the Q-J is a
pretty good hand from a middle-late position and one
which you ought to get your custom poker chips in
with. If they are a solid, tight bunch of poker players,
these hole cards should almost invariably be mucked.
Remember, a jack is only one step away from a 10 and
not many of you would call a raise of custom poker
chips with a Q-10 would you? A much better idea is
to muck the cards, save your custom poker chips and
thank your lucky stars you read this strategy guide
before you started gambling! |
