Advice on How Best to Play Cowboys
Before
the flop, only one hand is better than two kings…two
aces. Given that there is only a miniscule chance
that when you pick up kings, an opponent picks up
aces, you must treat kings in the same way as aces
before the flop. So it is vital that whatever your
positioning, you bring the pot in for a raise of custom
poker chips. This is the strategy regardless of how
many raises have come before you (unless the poker
player who made the last re-raise is an extremely
tight player, in which case you may put him/her on
aces!). You need to limit the field once again by
betting custom poker chips. You are especially aiming
to take out those that are sitting on a hand like
Ace-5 or similar. This is because the most important
thing to know is that if an ace hits the board on
the flop, you must stop betting custom poker chips
or you will very quickly lose a large proportion of
your custom poker chip stack!
Note that although many beginners never lay down
a hand with an ace in it, if you bet loads of custom
poker chips to try to force them out, they don’t
drop out and an ace hits the flop and you have to
shut down, although this will be frustrating it must
also inspire you with confidence. These players are
loose and are easily beatable and you will be able
to win their entire custom poker chip stack later
in the poker game if you remain patient.
Again, you must aim to bet enough custom poker chips
to get the hand heads-up. If you are trying to determine
whether someone is betting into you with the rockets,
you must try to remember their previous betting and
gambling patterns. Do they bet this many custom poker
chips with jacks/queens too? Once you have limited
the field to one or two players, there is a great
chance that your cowboys will stand up and you will
be raking in the custom poker chip pot at the end
of the poker hand. Remember, if an ace hits the board
on the flop, you must throw away the kings as quickly
as possible (unless other players are accustomed to
betting custom poker chips on underpairs even if an
overcard hits). With kings (as with aces) you are
also prone to the dangers from the straight or flush
so watch out for these when the flop hits.
