Guide to Playing Jack-Ten Similarly
to the Queen-Jack, the Jack-10 is most certainly not
a raising hand, even if suited. Do not call any raise
with your custom poker chips and definitely do not
raise from any early-middle position. Don’t
just limp in with the minimum bet of custom poker
chips from an early position as it is very likely
that another poker player will raise custom poker
chips from a later position. If you are sitting in
a very late position at the poker table, and the poker
hand has not seen any raises of custom poker chips,
it is worth limping in. If a poker player then raises
after you, it is sometimes worth the call to see if
you hit the flop. If you do not hit the flop, get
away from the hand immediately, save your custom poker
chips and wait for the next two cards to be dealt
within the next couple of minutes!
Obviously the same rule as normal applies. When the
poker table is full with aggressive and tight poker
players, it is imperative that you follow our guide
if you want to maximise custom poker chip savings
and winnings. With 10 players at the table, 20/52
cards are out in the poker players’ hands (that’s
38% of the deck!). So why would you risk any of your
custom poker chips in this situation by calling a
raise with a mere J-10? A lot of poker players would
have had to have dropped out of the poker hand for
this to be a rational custom poker chip saving move.
The most important of the two cards you hold in your
hand is not, as most poker players would suggest,
the jack. It is in fact the 10 as this is a very important
card when it comes to making straights. Every single
straight combination in Texas Holdem poker requires
either a 5 or a 10. Think about it for a second and
you will soon see the value in the 10 you are holding.
So to make more of your custom poker chips, you need
to be on the lookout for straight possibilities. If
the board is clumped together at the high end of the
scale, even if you do manage to hit your jack on the
turn or the river, this will probably help another
poker player secure a straight so it is not worth
gambling custom poker chips on this poker hand. If
you don’t hit the flop, cut your custom poker
chip losses and move on. |
