Put quite simply, you must not play this hand from an early position at the poker table if you want to leave your custom poker chip stack intact (even if the A-J is suited). If someone has raised custom poker chips from an early position and you are sitting in a middle to late position at the poker table, they must have something better than A-J to raise custom poker chips from such a position? If you are in an early position, surely another poker player will either have you beaten or will use their position to make you feel very nervous about the strength of your poker hand? So be cautious in early-middle position with the A-J, throw away the hand and look after your personalized poker chips!

Sometimes, A-J may be the hand you want to commit your custom poker chips to. Say, for example, you were short stacked and desperately needed to double-up your custom poker chip stack? Or what if the only poker player to raise the pot in this poker hand was a poker maniac or a poker player that had been bullying the poker table all evening? These are situations where it may be wise to invest and re-raise to get your custom poker chips in before the flop (either all-in or with the intention of making such a move after the flop). Finally, if the only poker player to raise the pot is sitting in late position, you may want to raise custom poker chips to defend the blinds which you have been forced to invest in the poker pot already.

You should generally only play A-J when sitting in middle-late position because if you hit your ace, any poker player without an ace will sense danger a mile away and won’t risk custom poker chips or gamble with an overcard in sight. Your pair of aces will also be vulnerable to the likely scenario that another poker player has either A-Q, A-K or A-A. However, if you are playing in a tournament and have a large custom poker chip stack compared to other poker players sitting at the poker table, this is probably a poker hand which you want to become aggressive with as it can often help you double-up your customized poker chips and ensure that you go home a winner. You must evaluate each situation differently on its individual merits.
