Advice on How Best to Play Jacks
As your pairs get
lower, your custom poker chip stack becomes more vulnerable
if you are gambling in the poker hand as there are
more overcards to avoid. As a rule of thumb, if nobody
has raised with their personalized poker chips, you
should raise regardless of the position you sit at
the poker table. If one poker player has raised, you
should generally risk as few customized poker chips
as possible and merely call the raise. As a poker
tournament progresses and more and more poker players
drop out, you can afford to be more flexible with
your custom poker chips and play jacks more often.
It is just vital to remember that if a queen, king
or ace peels off on the flop, you must discard the
jacks and save your custom poker chip stack for another
poker hand!
What happens if you have jacks in your hand and the
flop gives you an open-ended straight draw? You must
fear this situation when you hold jacks as it is likely
that if there were only a couple of raises pre-flop,
poker players could quite easily be sitting on Q-J.
What you are really looking for if you want to increase
the size of your customized poker chip stack is a
low flop (with no overcards to the jack) which displays
no potential for a straight or a flush. All that could
beat you and hit your custom poker chip stack is if
a poker player has made trips with one of the low
cards on the board (this is very unlikely though).
So, to secure maximum custom poker chip winnings,
you must follow this guide. Once you hit this uninteresting
flop for most poker players (but very good for your
custom poker chip stack!), you must raise personalized
poker chips. Don’t wait as you again need to
limit the field so your jacks are against as few poker
players as possible. Otherwise, you run the risk of
allowing a poker player to hit two pairs on the turn
or the river, and they will then be able to steal
your custom poker chips from right under your nose!
We must stress again that if a queen, king or ace
hits the board at any time, your customized poker
chips are safest if you throw the poker hand away
and wait for a better hand to gamble on. |
