Most poker players and World Series of Poker Stars hail this book as the single most influential book that has ever been written about the game of poker.

When this poker book was first published in the 1970s, many poker professionals read it and became frustrated that Doyle ‘Texas Dolly’ Brunson had given away too much to poker amateurs (meaning that the professionals could not take advantage quite so much and earn their salary!). This is why it is the best poker book! Doyle Brunson’s Supersystem reveals a great deal of secrets about Hold’em and Seven Card Stud.

Doyle Brunson edited the book but also contributed to it himself, along with many other prestigious writers and poker stars. Bobby Baldwin (yet another World Series of Poker Champion) contributed as did David ‘Chip’ Reese (Chip Reese is considered by Doyle to be the world’s authority on seven-card stud). Joey Hawthorne wrote a section on Low-Ball, David Sklansky on Hi-Low and Mike Caro (the Mad Genius of Poker) contributed a section on draw poker.

The Super System covers many poker games from seven-card stud to five card draw and no limit Hold’em. There is also a funny section by Stan Hunt who creates some interesting caricatures about the world’s poker stars!
Mike Caro contributes an interesting section on poker mathematics-odds and statistics. This is totally in contrast to Caro’s Book of Poker Tells but is absolutely accurate and worth analyzing in depth.
