‘Action’ Dan Harrington is considered by most poker players to be one of the most successful Texas Hold’em players in the world. In this poker book, he lets you in to a few secrets on ways to vary your style, analyze poker hands, how to approach and respond to a re-raise and how to suck as much money out of your poker opponents as possible!

In the 1995 World Series of Poker, this poker star won the gold bracelet and the World Championship title in this $10,000 buy-in main event. He has also managed to get to the final poker tables in later World Series of Poker tournaments. In 2003 he battled through 839 other poker players to play poker on the final table and in 2004 he was in the last few after fending off competition from a field of 2576!

In the first volume in this series (Volume I), Harrington explained how best to play poker in the early stages of a tournament (like the World Series of Poker or the World Poker Tour) i.e. when most poker players in the tournament have loads of poker chips and the blinds and antes are very small in relation to the size of most players’ poker chip stacks.

In Volume II, Dan analyzes the best way to play poker in the latter stages of a casino poker tournament whilst the blinds are increasing and the field is decreasing. More importantly, this book focuses around the time of a poker tournament when the prize money is at last in sight! The readers are taught by this prolific poker star on how to handle yourself when the tournament has only a few poker players left. A whole chapter is dedicated to heads-up play which is novel as most poker stars avoid talking about this for fear of giving away too much to other poker professionals!
