Barry Greenstein is known as the ‘Robin Hood of Poker’ and this amazing poker player has finally put together one of the best poker books. However, it focuses more on how to understand and manage your life as a professional poker player, rather than an in-depth analysis on poker strategy and poker mathematics. However, even if you aren’t aiming to play poker for a living, this poker book has plenty of information to improve and tighten up your poker game.

So after reading this poker book, you may not glean as much technical gaming information as you may after reading Caro’s Book of Poker Tells or Doyle’s Super System, but you will learn about issues such as mental strength and a better understanding from a psychological point of view of yourself and the game you play. It also contains lots of high quality photos taken in places like the high stakes poker room at the Bellagio Casino (no photographers are usually allowed in there).

Having said this, there is 142 pages of advanced poker theory, including discussions on poker mathematics and analyzing real-life poker hands. There is also a table for a better understanding of outs, odds and probabilities.
